Conceptual development of neck protection for hockey players
The journey from the idea of creating impact and cut protection for hockey players to the final product began with a detailed study of all elements of the protector. This included the development (3D modeling and component selection) of Dilatar dilatant inserts, the selection of high-quality fabrics, including Kevlar, and the exterior design of the final protector.
This process is ongoing, with both the development of new products and the improvement of existing mass-produced models continuously taking place.

Manufacturing of thermoformable protective inserts
IceArmax protective inserts are manufactured using a unique formula developed by our technologists, which incorporates dilatant material.
Its unique feature is that under impact load, the elastic material hardens, dissipating 98% of the impact energy, and then returns to its original state.
Additionally, we include a special thermoformable component in the formula of the IceArmax protective insert. When heated to 37.6 degrees Celsius (such as during warm-up), it ensures a perfectly comfortable fit around the neck.
